Tenía que hacer un encargo y saqué una caja donde arrojo todo tipo de objetos. Pequeños testimonio de mi memoria, fotos, postales, cartas. El cajón del recuerdo, o mejor dicho el cajón del olvido.
Encontré cartas llenas de palabras, en azul, en negro, en verde, con sus sobres rasgados y sus sellos reales. Quietas, escondidas, con historias pasadas que al leerlas reviven de nuevo. Te traen el pasado al presente.
Con caligrafías distintas que dicen tanto del que las escribe. Escuchas a la abuela, aunque ya no esté. Recuerdas a tu amiga de la cual nunca volviste a saber. Palabras de amor que se agarran al estómago y te llenan de nostalgia… Que emocionante era la espera y alegré recompensa mirar el buzón y verlo lleno. No como ahora que solo se empacha de publicidad, facturas o cartas del banco.
Había bolsas y bolsas de fotografías de todas las épocas que al mirarlas te escupían el tiempo a la cara y te traen a la memoria el tiempo vivido. Muchas sin ningún interés. Las ojeé, intente clasificarlas, por temas ,por viajes, etc. Pensaba ¿para qué haría hecho yo esta foto?, pero me cuesta tanto tirar una fotografía
Entonces decidí comenzar este trabajo, “cosiendo recuerdo” (con toda la carga semántica que conlleva) Resumir un viaje uniendo fotografías, otra forma de recordar mucho mas entretenida. Y aquí estoy, superponiendo, rompiendo y uniendo recuerdos.

Hace ya un año empecé esta libreta/álbum familiar/ diario…. Comencé a pegarle imágenes que me iba encontrando y que de algún modo significaban algo o nada. Solo forman parte de mi pasado.
Todo aquello que me encontraba de forma casual y que servía como estímulo para el recuerdo lo pegaba. En el fondo así funciona el recuerdo, un olor, una imagen, un lugar , una cancón es un clic que activa tu memoria.
Intento buscar el porqué empecé este ejercicio y quizás sea porque no quiero ser olvidada, por quiero dejar estos recuerdos impresos a mis hijos. Por que permanecemos vivos después de muertos mientras alguien nos recuerde. Quizá lo haga por puro egocentrismo o por que me agarro muy fuerte al tiempo
O solo lo hago porque necesito hacerlo, porque es entretenido, porque me gusta experimentar con la imagen y solo me interesa lo que está cercano a mí.
Aun tengo muchos recuerdos esperando para ser pegados.
